Artist Statement

What if the mind held an entire universe within it?

This piece explores the vast inner world that exists beneath the surface—where thought, emotion, and memory form a universe of their own. The figure becomes a threshold, revealing not the outer cosmos, but the one within.

Inside, a solitary presence moves through an ocean suspended in space, symbolizing the self navigating its own depths. The flowing water represents release—the moment when what is held inside can no longer remain contained.

Both infinite and intimate, the work reflects the paradox of the mind: a finite form holding endless experience. It invites us to recognize that we are not separate from the vastness we seek—we carry it within us.

This artwork was created through a mixed media process that combines aerial photography and original photographic elements, digitally composed and manipulated in Photoshop to build a layered and dreamlike environment. The final image is printed on museum-quality canvas using archival inks to preserve the depth, contrast, and cosmic textures of the piece.
